About Christian Berg

CHRISTIAN BERG Christian Berg is a Ho Chi Minh City based Editorial and Commercial Photographer Born in the year of the goat Christian developed a passion for drifting in his early years. In the peaceful suburbs of his hometown in Germany it was easy to get lost while imagining the world outside. In his early twenties he stepped into the world via Bangkok's Don Muang Airport and is on the move ever since. Photography was always a part of his way to explore the world and reflect his experiences. Every picture tells a story. It is directly out of this world. Though often bigger than reality. Or smaller. Or simply different. Having a Master's degree in Southeast Asian studies and speaking fluent Vietnamese he is always trying to find new perspectives that go beyond the mainstream exotic visual perception of the region. Besides being staff photographer for AsiaLIFE HCMC, a local lifestyle publication, he does freelance work (editorial and commercial) in Vietnam as well as all over Southeast Asia.
